The U.S. Supreme Court is considering whether the prosecutor whose office hid evidence that ultimate freed a death row inmate should be civilly responsible and uphold a $14 million verdict. The prosecutors in the New Orleans district attorney's office had intentionally hidden a blood test that would have unraveled the criminal case against the defendant. By a stroke of luck, a young investigator scouring the crime lab files found evidence of it and the defendant's blood type did not match. We will be following this case.
